Materials REQUIRED:

Pencils and eraser

Ruler

Notebook and paper

Scientific Calculator (you may use a graphing calculator in class, and on the provincial exam)

Your mark will be determined as follows:

T erm 1 40%

Term 2 40%

Provincial Exam 20%

For each term the break down will be as follows:

Classwork 80%

Term Exam 20%

The term 1 exam will cover the first part of the course and the term 2 exam will cover only the second part of the course.

Expectations:

Show up, on time:

-Poor attendance will adversely affect your mark.

-You are responsible for all work missed while absent. Check your unit plan and stay caught up.

-Quizzes will be given without notice.

-Tests will be scheduled in advance. Missed tests will be made up as soon as possible, provided a note from home excuses the absence. Be prepared to write the test on the day you return to class.

Be prepared:

-Have all necessary materials. You will not be permitted to leave the room for forgotten items

-Complete all homework on the day it is assigned.

-Complete all assignments by the deadline.

Show respect for self, others, and the environment

Extra help: You will need it!! You will find me in room D209 a few days per week. Check the whiteboard for days and times, as they will change each semester
